Acidifiers

Components for the feed industry

Propionic acid, propionates

Is a natural product of ensilage processes. Propionic acid inhibits the development of fungi, works well as a feed preservative. Propionic acid and propionates stimulate secretion and absorption from the gastrointestinal tract, increase feed uptake and thus daily animal growth and prevent gastrointestinal disfunctions.

Formic acid, formate

It is the simplest and basic organic acid. Formic acid in nature is present in its natural form in the venom of bees, ants and in nettles. Formic acid has strong bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties. Formic acid is a very popular ingredient in acidifying mixtures used in feed.
