Leucine
Is one of the most important amino acids, it is one of the exogenous amino acids. Human organism is not able to produce leucine so it is very important to supply it fom other sources. Leucine plays the largest role in stimulating protein synthesis in skeletal muscle and, together with insulin, stimulates fat burning.
Isoleucine
It is a branched chain amino acid, participates in muscle building, protects against the breakdown of muscle proteins caused by activity and stress, accelerates regeneration after injuries, increases strength, raises energy levels, participates in regulating blood glucose levels. Isoleucine should be taken in conjunction with other branched chain amino acids, including valine and leucine. An imbalance between these compounds can have a negative effect on the kidneys and liver.
Lysine
Promotes calcium absorption, is necessary for the growth and development of cartilage and tendons, nucleotide synthesis, lactation, is involved in tissue renewal, the production of hormones, enzymes, antibodies, affects fat metabolism through the production of carnitine. Lysine protects against recurrences of cold sores and genital herpes. May reduce the risk of osteoporosis.
Methionine
It is an amino acid necessary for growth, it protects liver cells, participates in the synthesis of choline, creatine, participates in fat metabolism. Is a sulfur donor used for the synthesis of antioxidants.
Threonine
Is an amino acid with very broad properties. Supports the functioning of the nervous system, circulatory system, liver and immune system. It participates in the construction of strong bones and tooth enamel and accelerates wound healing. Supports the process of fat digestion and prevents their accumulation in the liver.
Tryptophan
Is an amino acid that is involved in the synthesis of vitamin PP, i.e. nicotinic acid, in reproduction and lactation, necessary for the formation of neurotransmitters (serotonin and melatonin), occurs in platelets, mucous membrane of the digestive tract, nerve tissue, improves brain and system function nervous, anti-depressant, reduces hyperactivity and tension.
Valine
It is a branched chain amino acid, participates in muscle building, prevents their breakdown during exercise and promotes increased endurance. It is important for the smooth functioning of the nervous and immune systems. It is crucial for athletes.
Serine
Is an amino acid that participates in the synthesis of nitrogenous bases of purines and pyrimidines necessary for the production of genetic material, has a pain-relieving effect. It participates in the hydrolysis of peptide bonds, i.e. in the digestion of protein. Is a precursor to many amino acids. Low serine levels are responsible for chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.
Glycine
Is an amino acid that plays a very important role in the synthesis of hemoglobin, participates in the synthesis of nitrogenous bases of purines and pyrimidines necessary for the production of genetic material, is part of glutathione, participates in the processes of cleansing the body of toxins.
Cysteine
Is an amino acid that has many different functions in the body, and the most important are building a strong antioxidant glutathione as well as hair, nails and skin protein – keratin. Noteworthy are other confirmed properties of L-cysteine - it can be helpful, among others in inflammatory diseases, male infertility, allergies, bronchitis, problems of the immune system. It also has a cleansing effect.
Arginine
Is an amino acid necessary for the synthesis of nitric oxide (II) NO, which dilates blood vessels and reduces their viscosity. It improves the immune system, physical fitness, functioning of the pituitary gland, wound healing.
Proline
An amino acid that is a component of the body’s supporting tissues, mainly collagen protein. Strengthens the heart muscle. It gives flexibility to blood vessels, which slows down the development of atherosclerosis.
Taurine
Is one of the biogenic amino acids. Taurine has stimulant properties and helps muscles recover after physical exertion. This amino acid is beneficial for people with alcoholism, ADHD, autism, heart disease, high blood pressure or cholesterol, diabetes and hepatitis. Taurine also has activity in the retina, more precisely in situations of damage, and also has a positive effect on patients with epilepsy.
